Technology Support Associate

Overview

Responsibilities

As a member of the Technology Team you will provide stellar customer service while supporting VHS Learning instructional technology systems and infrastructure. Primary responsibilities of the Technical Support Associate are to administer the course platform and systems, as well as technical support services for VHS Learning participants and staff. You will be responsible for responding to and resolving Help Desk inquiries and answering support phone calls. You will solve problems as they arise, track their causes and resolution, and work to prevent their recurrence. Duties include:

Learning Management System (LMS) and Services Administration 

  • Course creation and maintenance
  • Creation and maintenance of user accounts. permissions, and access  
  • Removal of obsolete users and courses
  • Maintenance of documented operating procedures related to systems administration

Technical Support 

  • Responds to first level Service Tickets
  • Develops technical expertise to respond to a greater variety of Service Tickets
  • Troubleshoots and beta tests upgrades and new applications
  • Answers technical support phone inquiries
  • Provides systems admin support for file storage, sharing, maintenance, and organization
  • Provides Hardware/software in-house support as needed
  • Other special projects as required

  • Experience working in an educational environment a plus  
  • Experience with online learning system course administration, specifically D2L's Brightspace, a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce, Genius SIS, O365 and/or SharePoint a plus

Salary:$35,000 (37.5 hour work week)
