About Us

VHS Learning (VHS, Inc.) is a nonprofit organization providing supplemental online classes to high schools and students. We partner with schools and districts to create programs in their schools, and work directly with parents and students that want to enroll in our classes individually. Our vision is to prepare students for college, careers, and life.

"VHS Learning offers schools a way to expand their catalogs without incurring the full cost of a class for which there may be limited demand. That in turn has helped many schools offer the full suite of classes that students might desire, in spite of budgetary pressures. It’s been a valuable way for many institutions to expand their course catalogs and dip their toes into online learning."

How it Works

Through our unique network of schools and educators, students gain access to student-centered online education within a high quality, collaborative learning environment.

History

VHS Learning began as "Virtual High School" in 1996 as part of a technology grant from the Department of Education. In 2001, VHS, Inc. was established as a nonprofit. The organization has set the standard for quality online education. VHS Learning prepares students for college, careers, and life through supportive, instructor-led online and blended classroom experiences.

VHS Learning is accredited by Middle States Association Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA-CESS), and ACS Western Association of Schools and Colleges. We offer a catalog of 29 Advanced Placement® courses and all eligible VHS Learning courses are approved for initial eligibility by NCAA (VHS Learning is school code #221356).

Student and School Success

VHS Learning is available worldwide to help schools expand their curriculum, help educators inspire their students to engage more in their education, and to help parents help their students succeed in high school, college and beyond. We have received substantial feedback over the years and we closely monitor the achievements of our students.
