The Virtual High School 2018 Scholarship Program

Attention all graduating seniors…
The Virtual High School is now accepting entries for this year’s Scholarship Program!

How It Works

There are three scholarships up for grabs. To get your hands on one you must show us your creative genius. We’re looking for innovation and inspiration. So tell us…

“How did your VHS teacher or site coordinator impact your online learning experience?"

Send your answer in a video, slide presentation, or audio file for a chance to earn up to $1000 for next year. The top three submissions will earn a prize and the top two entries will earn top billing on our homepage!

The Fine Print

Three scholarships available:
One (1) $1000   |   Two (2) $500

Submissions Details

There are several format options available to submit your entry:

  • Video – From narrative soliloquies to visual installations of influence, we’ve had video entries that have wowed! We’ve seen students turn into actors, actors turn into students and answers to our scholarship questions come alive on screen. Just keep it relevant, insightful and under three minutes.
  • Multimedia Presentations – Will we find your powers of persuasion in PowerPoint slides? Perhaps. With crafty transitions and audible add-ons, we could be compelled to present you with this year’s top honors. Before you can count your earnings, you’ll want to count your slides, because once we press “play slideshow” your presentation should run no more than three minutes long.
  • Audio – We know you’ve got something to say…but it’s up to you how you say it! Whether you belt out an original tune, tell us a story in your own words, or recite an ode to the VHS scholarship committee to answer our question, it too must only be three minutes long!

  • Your global classroom experience
  • A group project that aided in your understanding of a complex subject
